Are You Tapping Into Your Creativity?

Hey Smart Women! Can you believe February, the “Passion” month, is almost over? Each week this month, I have shared a “passion tip” to support you in having a relationship with the most important person you know: YOU! The first week was Mind, the second week was Body, last week it was Relationships, and this week my final tip is on Creativity.

Passion Tip: In my work with women, one area that can get neglected or dropped off the “to-do” list is nurturing your Creativity. Stimulating your creativity is an essential part of feeling alive. It helps you “problem solve” in a much more effective way and feeds your mind with new ideas and new ways of looking at the world.

Place a large colorful coffee mug on your desk and fill it with an array of colorful pens. 02-26-09pencilsI have a big lavender mug on my desk filled with pens in many colors. Color sparks creativity!

Another tip is Journaling. Many of the women I work with in my Success Circles journal their thoughts and have found this to be a way to spark their creativity. You can begin with 5 minutes a day and it brings great rewards.

My Mom is in town for a week and we are thrilled. We’ve had a great time together and she is enjoying reconnecting with Jack and Jenna. My heart is full of gratitude. I know this time with my Mom is truly a “gift.”
